Petrified Wood with Banded Agate (incredibly rare color)Petrified wood is found in a wide range of colors, but green is certainly rare worldwide. I'm told that the color is caused by nickel content, and it's not dyed, as you can clearly see solid green patches on the back (unpolished side) of the piece. The form of the original tree is clearly seen and well preserved. There is a slight coating on the Prehnite but does not necessarily detract from the overall quality of the piece

I think it goes without saying that the finest specimens of Franckeite are found at this mine

After that

the miner in Bolivia who found the specimens was referring to them as “dientes” (Spanish for teeth)

This is one of the very few specimens of Augelite with Chlorargyrite that I have seen from Machacamarca and the color contrast makes for a pleasing specimen

The piece is a hydrothermally etched
