Native Girl1948 pen and ink on paper 19 X 14 in. This piece is unframed. "Gerald attended the Arts Students League of New York from 1947 to 1949. At that time he drew many studies of figures which reflected his mastery of the human form. This stylistic and flowing work has the subject staring with stony black eyes in a mask like face, evoking strength and vulnerability." D. T.
