Capturing people from behind is one of my favourite things

West Wittering is a beautiful expansive beach in West Sussex which often inspires my work

I wanted this painting to feel like a memory rather than a scene

I was interested in the massive light sky above and the little grounded lives beneath

The sun was shining and the wet ground drying
