Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal EIIRThe Army Long Service and Good Conduct medal was instituted in 1830. Until 1901 the medal's obverse contained an image of a trophy of arms with the Royal Arms in an oval shield in the centre while the reverse side contained the inscription "For Long Service and Good Conduct". On the succession of King Edward VII to the throne in 1901, the effigy of the reigning sovereign was placed on the medal's obverse. In 1930 the title of the medal was changed to

Instituted on 31st December 1914 for award to Warrant Officers and Officers below the rank of Major in the Army and RFC

The General Service Medal with Northern Ireland Clasp was awarded for 30 days service between 14th August 1969 and 31st July 2007

Officers and other ranks of the United Kingdom Land Forces who had 14 days or more continuous service in the operational area and were on the posted or attached strength of any unit serving in the South Arabian Federation

Gulf of Suez Clasp was awarded for 30 days service between 15th August and 15th October 1984

Awarded for service in Northern Iraq or Southern Turkey between 6 April 1991 and 17 July 1991

This is awarded to all ranks of the reserve forces

the Air Force Cross was awarded to officers and certain ranks serving in the Royal Air Force and associated air services
